2-Speed Drive Motor Carrier for Skid Steer Loaders, 7481519 is a hydraulic drive assembly designed to give the machine two selectable travel speed ranges, allowing operators to balance pushing power and travel speed depending on the job.
The motor carrier houses a two‑speed hydraulic motor, reduction gearing, bearings, and mounting components that transfer hydraulic power from the loader to the drive chains and wheels (or tracks). The two speeds are typically:
Low speed / high torque – for digging, grading, pushing, and working in tight areas High speed / lower torque – for faster travel across a jobsite with minimal load
